Catastrophic trucking cases are fundamentally different from ordinary accident claims. Trucking companies and their insurers often deploy investigators, defense lawyers, and corporate representatives within hours of a serious crash. These cases frequently involve federal safety regulations, black box data, driver qualification records, corporate safety policies, and substantial insurance coverage. Jonathan Hayes prepares these cases for litigation immediately because critical evidence can disappear quickly.

Background
An Atlanta native, Jonathan graduated from Woodward Academy in College Park, Georgia before earning his Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina and his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia.
During law school, Jonathan clerked for the Honorable Rowland W. Barnes in Fulton County Superior Court, where he gained early exposure to serious civil litigation and courtroom practice. Early in his career, Jonathan began developing a record of success in complex litigation and appellate matters, including Bouvé & Mohr, LLC v. Banks, 274 Ga. App. 758 (2005), a Georgia premises liability case involving the spoliation of evidence in civil litigation. That litigation foundation continues to shape his approach to catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases today.
Jonathan remains active in the Atlanta community and serves on several boards and organizations, including the Foundation Board at the College of Charleston. He is also active in Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and is the proud father of five children.
